Is Storage Cost Included in a Professional Organizer’s Rates?

Question: Do professional organizers include the cost of storage in their rates?

Answer: Every professional organizer runs their business differently, but most that I’m aware of do not include the cost of storage in their rates. The need for storage depends on a client’s individual circumstances, but in general we tend to discourage the use of long-term storage because it may mean holding onto excess clutter!  When storage is required, most organizers will refer a trusted storage provider that they have worked with (whether that be a mobile storage unit, storage locker, or otherwise) and any storage costs will be paid directly to the provider.
